Elite Accreditation Fuels Startup Growth with Considered-First Approach
for Government Projects
Singapore – April 27, 2020 – Privitar, the global leader in sensitive data management, is now accredited by the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore under the Accreditation@SG Digital (Accreditation@SGD). Privitar will help organisations across Singapore maximize the value of the data they collect, manage, and use, while at the same time, minimize their data risk. Privitar will be considered first for government projects and benefit from streamlined procurement processes that shorten the amount of time to conclude the contracting process with Singapore government agencies.
“The growth in availability of data creates remarkable opportunities for organisations, but it also presents tremendous challenges to privacy,” said Tho Yeong Chien, Executive Director for Privitar in Singapore. “Privitar helps organisations to not only meet their privacy management obligations, but also enables them to innovate and effectively leverage their data. We’re excited to expand our efforts across Singapore through the Accreditation @SGD programme.”
The Accreditation@SGD programme was launched in 2014 to accelerate the growth of Singapore-based innovative technology product companies, helping them to establish credentials, grow and compete globally to become the next digital champions. Companies considered for the programme are evaluated from a technical, financial and operational perspective.
Privitar has successfully met the stringent criteria of the Accreditation@SGD’s evaluation process. The company recently announced an $80 million Series C funding round led by Warburg Pincus, which will be used to accelerate the development of its data privacy platform, fuel continued innovation, and support key growth initiatives, with a focus on international expansion. In addition, Privitar just announced its launch in the AWS Marketplace, and achievement of AWS Security Competency and AWS Data and Analytics Competency status.
“We welcome Privitar to the Accreditation@SGD programme, where their breakthrough privacy engineering technology enables data privacy capabilities for big data. We are confident that Privitar’s approach to sensitive data management will solve the needs of Government and enterprises with respect to preserving the privacy of secured data,” said Mr Edwin Low, Director of Innovation & Tech Ecosystem of the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore.
Organizations worldwide rely on Privitar to protect their customers’ sensitive personal data and to deliver comprehensive data privacy that frees them to extract maximum value from the data they collect, manage and use.
Founded in 2014, Privitar is headquartered in London and has offices in New York, Boston, Munich, Paris and Singapore. For more information, please visit www.privitar.com.
