Home Glossary Job Job The A-Z of Privacy Job: A process in Privitar which applies a set of de-identification techniques to a sensitive dataset in order to de-identify it, whilst preserving data utility. A Privitar Job executes a Policy that defines a set of de-identification actions to a dataset as described by a Schema. A Job run is associated with a Protected Data Domain (PDD) which provides controls and tracks metadata associated with the de-identified data. Jobs can be created once and run many times. There are different types of Jobs that are suited for different execution environments and data usage patterns. For example, a Batch Job applies a Policy to data at-rest. A Data Flow Job applies a Policy to flows of data in motion. Return to glossary
