Generalization

Generalization:

A method that transforms a value into a more general one.
For instance, you can generalize a number by replacing it with an interval (e.g. 33 -> 30-35), you can generalize a day/month/year by replacing it with just month/year, or you can generalize a category by replacing it with a broader category (e.g. iPhone 6s -> iPhone).
